Building on the great success of the Dutch Joomla!days in 2006, this third edition will have an international perspective. With 500 open source experts and business people attending, the event will be bigger and even more exciting than the previous editions.

Together they will put Joomla! in the spotlight. During the conference, attention will be given also to other projects, such as Drupal, Typo3 and sugarCRM. Why? Because we are going to build bridges. With Joomla! as the centerpiece. Three quarters of all sessions will deal with Joomla!, which means that visitors who only want to hear about Joomla!, can do so, with abundant freedom of choice.

After huge success in Vancouver Canada in early 2007, and Sydney Australia last month where attendance grew more than 50% from last year, one of the world's leading conferences for web professionals, Web Directions, returns to Vancouver in late January 2008.

Featuring in-depth day long workshops, more than 20 world leading speakers from across the globe over two days, and two days at Blackcomb/Whistler proving geeks can ski and board with the best of them, Web Directions is widely considered one of the 'must attend' professional events of the Web Industry, drawing attendees from all over the world.

Unlike most web conferences, Web Directions is organized by industry practitioners and leaders with collectively decades of experience in web design and development. We are passionate and knowledgeable about the web, we keep abreast of trends and developments, and like our attendees we work with the web every day so understand the need for practical content that attendees can use right now, as well as inspiration for the future.

Web Directions focusses on the challenges of building the web - practical and inspiring concepts, technologies and techniques for web designers, developers, product managers, and others whose day to day responsibility is making and managing web sites and applications.

OSCon 2007 is going to be hot this year from July 23-27, 2007 in Portland, Oregon. Over 2500 open source developers, gurus, experts, and users will there for the yearly open source event, with 40 tutorials for this year and over 400 sessions focusing on Administration, Business, Databases, Emerging Topics, Java, Linux, People, Perl, PHP, Programming, Python, Ruby, Security, Web Applications, and much more.

Also from O'Reilly Media, The first ubuntu Live conference is taking place from July 22-24, 2007 also in Portland, Oregon. You will be disappointed because you can't be everywhere ! Many interesting topics will be explored on ubuntu from usage, install, experiences, in education, in NGO, performance and much more. Ubuntu Live is being launched to provide a meeting place for Ubuntu users, contributors, and partners--and the Ubuntu-curious. Learn how Ubuntu can make a critical difference in your business or project and engage with the global open source community at the largest Ubuntu gathering yet.

Finally a note about OSCamp unconference which will be held on July 25-26 as part of O'Reilly's OSCon2007. To assist at the OSCamp, just register over OSCon with the code os07oscamp. Check the OSCamp registration page for more details about assisting in this open event. I think July will be quite busy !
